BTC Phase 3: Introduction & Table of Contents

Description: In Phase 3, “All About the Church, the Spirit & Grace,” you will find an assortment of articles that define and explain more about our relationship with the Holy Spirit (which is the Gift of the Holy Ghost, Acts 2:38, KJV, also known as the Gift of Grace, Romans 5:15, KJV). We will also differentiate between “The Church” and the “churches” (gathering places). We will look at what Spiritual Warfare is really all about and review other elements of the growth experience that we will likely encounter and which are common to most everyone who enters the Body of Christ and who become active in a spiritual transformation process with Jesus, the most exciting and liberating journey anyone can undertake.

“But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual. But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned. But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man. For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him?     Read about the “New Man” (Christ within) which helps us overcome the habits of the “old man” or “old nature.” This Lesson includes additional commentary about the development of the “Fruit of the Spirit,” as well as how “we of the Spirit” are known and identified.

  • BTC 3, Lesson 2: “The Free Gift of Grace“

    In this Lesson, we will continue to explore that which is the “Free Gift,” (Holy Spirit/Grace) given to help us through our soul-transformation process; and we will also examine more fully, the terms we are expected to adhere to and why Grace is so important in meeting those terms.

  • BTC 3, Lesson 4: “Religion as a Complement to Spirituality“

    Read about the difference between religion & spirituality and what conditions support us in becoming “spiritual in nature.” This Lesson also defines the “churches” (gathering places) as something different than what “The Church” is (which Christ is building from those in the Body by His Spirit). In this article, The Church is described as a State of Grace, rather than just a place. Additionally, we can “Be The Church,” everywhere we go, sharing God’s Love with everyone we meet as we walk in Mercy and hold to Grace.

  • BTC 3, Lesson 5: “Spiritual Warfare“

    Is “Spiritual Warfare” a description of what “comes against us” as followers of Christ, or is it how we resist the invitation to return to the “old-man ways” in the heat of the moment while applying the Mercy and Love of God? Read more about the “Armour of God” and how our relationship with the Written & Living Word can bring us knowledge, wisdom, and discernment by which we can learn to respond to difficult people and events. Learn how God can take the most difficult situation and turn things around for the good; even our mistakes become the catalyst for new growth.

  • BTC 3, Lesson 6: "What About The Rapture?"

    This Lesson explains the difference between what is called, “The Rapture” in the Body and what is known as “The Second Coming.” Though these events are defined, the purpose of this Lesson is to point the reader to what we are tasked to do in the present, which is to focus on the Spirit within as we grow spiritually (and as we love one another), thereby positioning ourselves “with Christ” today and always.

  • BTC 3, Bonus Lesson: "Strongholds"

    An illusion is a fantasy, fable, or stronghold that we are convinced is truth, yet we lack concise clear evidence to prove it to be so; whereas with a delusion, one refuses to accept sound Scripture to refute it (the falsehood).
